Instructors and Philosophy:
We're Heidi & Shaun, owners of New England Photo Collective and Heidi Hope Photography. We're local parents to children ages 4.5, 8 and 12 who are students in the Cranston public school district. We completely rennovated our 4000 square foot space on RT 2 in Warwick in early 2020. We designed NEPC as a space for photography classes and workshops before COVID-19 shut things down. This fall, with school up in the air, we have decided to set up a DL support classroom space for our own children and want to begin a program where we can include some additional local families. It will get the kids out of the house, keep them on a routine, provide afternoon enrichment in art, photography, technology, entrepreneurship, and socialization! Our passion is tying photography and art education into core subjects like literature, science, and math. We're excited to help kids navigate virtual learning while also maintaining the tenants of education that are critical to mental health and wellbeing (and severely lacking in the virtual learning environment), giving them the opportunity to explore, think critically and creatively, imagine, build, create, dream, socialize, form community, work together.

Additional certified and experienced educators may be brought on as our program expands. Guest art and technology teachers will also provide optional "pop up" class opportunities in the afternoon.
3 days (days TBD): $200 per week per student (approximately $9.50 per hour)
5 days: $275 per week per student (approximately $7.80 per hour)
Late pick ups $25 per child
* Please note, we may open the afternoon art enrichment up to an additional number of students in October, once we are settled. Social distancing, masks and stable groups will always be maintained if our program expands.
** Preference will be given to family groupings and students in similar grades or with the same classroom teachers.
*** Our personal philosophy prefers social distancing, stable grouping and frequent sanitizing to all-day mask wearing for children. Please note your mask preferences for your children in our application process. General liability waivers for use of our space will need to be signed upon official enrollment.
Enrollment begins September 1st 2020. We will contact all applicants by September 4th 2020 to discuss availability. We have very limited space, so we will create a waitlist for any students who do not secure an initial space.
